Tropical Paradise Economic Package

Eight days to get a taste of the favorite destinies for an educational Vacation in Costa Rica.
This package have been designed thinking about pleasing groups of students, and it is the best option for Spring Break Vacations, or to learn about Costa Rica nature and culture while you are traveling and having fun! With selected tours, areas and properties to stay, this package is an adventure you will never forget! This trip begin in Arenal Area, where is the most spectacular and active volcano in Latin America, then you will explore the cloudy trails of Monteverde Cloud Forest. And finally you will end your adventure at the amazing beaches of Papagayo, Guanacaste.

 

Day 1: Arrival, Welcome to Costa Rica!

 

At the Juan Santamaría International Airport one of our Ecogetaways representative will be waiting for you and then take to your hotel in San Jose.

Day 2: Direct Transfer to Arenal Area

 

Prepare yourself for amazing views while visiting the exceptional Arenal Volcano and the rainforest. This area is only is 3 1/2 hours away by land and promises to be a unique example of nature’s best!
Arenal Volcano hike and hot Springs, dinner included
A short hike in one of the trails close to the volcano area will give us the chance to enjoy some forest and the activity around it. At the hot springs our customers can enjoy a healthy and relaxing soak, it is also possible to see the Arenal Volcano erupting from a comfortable spa.

Day 3: Celeste River and Tenorio Volcano Hike Tour with Lunch

 

Along the river we’ll find hot springs, bends of heavenly tranquility and a waterfall of singular beauty, all surrounded by varied flora and fauna. The tour arrives at the Tenorio Volcano National Park, were it begins our 7 k.m hike through the tropical rain forest. The tour returns through trails, rich with ecological wonders, and a dip in the natural hot springs all while observing the attractions of Tenorio Volcano.Our final reward is an exquisite Costa Rican typical lunch at the end of our journey, and after that, the ride back to the hotels in La Fortuna.

Day 4: Transfer by Boat to Monteverde Area   

 

Today you will travel to the Cloud Forest of Monteverde. Here you will have the opportunity to relax in one of the most beautiful places in Costa Rica There we will aboard into a very comfortable and safe pontoon boat for a 30 to 40 minutes (aprox.) ride to Río Chiquito, a little town at the other side of the lake. It is also a place where you can find diverse species of resident and migratory birds. Sometimes mammals can be seen in the surroundings, also you can enjoy great views of the Arenal Volcano when it’s clear.

Enjoy spectacular flora, fauna and views on this unforgettable horseback tour. Ride through impressive forest and farm and then take a swim in pure waterfall river water.

Day 5: Tree Top Canopy Tour                 

 

This tour has the highest security standards that come along with 16 cables, ranking between 15 meters and 410 meters long, with a 50-meters tower with a panoramic view of the Gulf of Nicoya and a section of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve. Along the way, we have access to the ground every three cables, in case the client does not want to continue. An optional Tarzan Swing, rappelling, a tightrope and two very amusing hanging bridges.
Night Walk Tour
This tour starts at the sunset when wildlife becomes very active, because all the diurnals animals are looking for some place to sleep; and the nocturnal animals are starting their activities. This is a great experience because you will have the opportunity to hear and see animals very different than the  ones you usually see during  the day time such as  slots, coatis, agoutis, porcupines, gray fox, tarantulas, frogs, some species of insects and many species of birds.

Day 6: Don Juan Coffee Tour

 

At Don Juan Coffee Tour, experience the aged coffee tradition through a unique tour of our coffee farm. Our specialized guides will point out the most important aspects of coffee, its harvest, and processing.  They’ll take you through the history of this crop from its beginning in the Arabic countries and Ethiopia.
Direct Transfer to Guanacaste Area.
After approximately a 3 hour-drive, you will descend to Guanacaste, home of the last dry forest in the world. Once you get there you will have the opportunity to visit its amazing beaches and enjoy all kind of activities surrounding them.

Day 7: Palo Verde National Park tour, lunch included

 

Palo Verde National park it is an exceptional place for birdwatchers and nature lovers in general, a two- hour boat trip will introduce us into these important ecosystem, crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas and more wildlife that you ever imagined. After this great opportunity to see wildlife, we will visit the town of Guaitil famous for its traditional pottery artisans. Guaitil is a small village located just outside Santa Cruz, the primary center of Costa Rican folklore in Guanacaste.

Day 8: Direct Transfer to Liberia Airport

 

We will pick you up at the hotel and then take you to the Liberia Airport hopping that you had a great time in Costa Rica!
